// SUSTAINABILITY

Our aims

At Informa, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. It shapes how we run our events, how we make decisions, and how we do business every day.

We at LOUPE Europe are committed to creating a positive impact for people and the planet across the labels, flexible packaging, and folding carton industries. We lead by example – fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and connecting the industry to drive innovation and tackle the major sustainability challenges of the future.

Our aims

Delivering Sustainable Events

Socially Responsible

// ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE

Delivering a more environmentally friendly event

Our goal is to achieve zero waste and net-zero carbon by 2030 or sooner. Already, we have taken steps to lead the way in driving change within the events industry and to make our show more sustainable:

  • Prioritizing sustainability in all our procurement decisions and recommendations
  • Using electric forklifts for building and disassembling stands
  • Energy-efficient lighting throughout the event
  • Waste recycling for most materials (newspapers, glass, plastics, wood)
  • Implementing digital solutions to minimize printed materials
  • Encouraging visitors to use public transport and reducing car travel to the event

// INSPIRING SUSTAINABILITY

Inspiring sustainable development in our markets

Sustainability is embedded into LOUPE Europe with the goal of inspiring the label, package printing and converting industries to take meaningful action and sustainable practices. We encourage:

  • Leading by example, demonstrating our commitment through actions and words
  • Encouraging suppliers, exhibitors, and stakeholders to create sustainable events
  • Promoting sustainability to our visitors through content
  • In 2025, we partnered with DMP Europe who collected waste onsite at the event. It was recycled into industrial bumpers (used to protect factory walls and equipment), as well as pallets

// SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE

Running a socially responsible event

LOUPE Europe is committed to championing diversity, inclusion, and social mobility while creating value for our host cities and communities. We strive to ensure that every visitor feels welcome and included at our event. Some of our initiatives include:

  • Promotions to all visitors about recommended travel, restaurants, attractions and tours to support the local area and community
  • Prioritizing wellbeing and accessibility
  • Positively impacting our host cities

// CLIMATE INITIATIVES

Informa Better Stands

The Better Stands program aims to unite and encourage exhibitors, along with their appointed contractors, to move away from disposable, single-use stands at events, in favor of reusable structures.

// WELLBEING

Supporting you at LOUPE Europe

As your host, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of wellbeing that touches every aspect of our event. Find out what LOUPE Europe has to offer:

  • Easy access to outdoors
  • Healthy meal options from food vendors
  • Water refill stations throughout the venue
  • Read LOUPE Europe's Code of Conduct to hear about the expectations of visitor conduct at LOUPE events
  • If you require special assistance, auxiliary aids, interpreters, or other reasonable accommodations while at the event, please contact Pere Ramirez Caceres, at least four weeks prior to the event date.

// BE PART OF THE CHANGE

Support sustainable practices at LOUPE

As a visitor to LOUPE Europe, you play an important role in helping us reduce our environmental impact. Every small action contributes to a more sustainable event experience. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Consolidate your business travel by meeting many contacts at the event rather than making separate trips
  • Choose lower-carbon travel options and avoid air travel where feasible
  • Bring a reusable water bottle and coffee cup to reduce single-use plastic
  • Recycle your waste onsite and at your accommodation, and avoid food waste
  • Take only the brochures or giveaways you truly need, and favour digital alternatives where possible
  • Return your lanyard and badge for recycling and support local businesses (restaurants, shops, bars) in the area
  • Stay active, take some fresh air during the show, and engage with the event in a mindful way
